Alan M. Borko, CFP® , Senior Vice President and Agency Investment Specialist, brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to Forest Hills Financial Group. Prior to joining FHFG, Alan spent 15 years as a branch manager and vice president for a major national brokerage firm. He was responsible for over $700 million in client assets and his branch was ranked in the top twenty percent of the firm. Alan was also a fixed income/municipal bond specialist with a small bond house specializing in high net worth individuals and business owners before joining the brokerage firm.

Alan works with our associates at FHFG in the capacity of an in-house resource or directly with our associates and their respective clients. In 1985, Alan received his MBA from Adelphi University in Corporate Finance and Investments. Since 1992, Alan has been licensed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Alan’s success has been a result of his “client first” philosophy. Whether his client’s needs are in the area of accumulating assets, retirement planning or transferring wealth to their loved ones, Alan has been able to define the strategy, implement the program and then monitor its progress to insure that the client’s goals are being met.

Alan’s strong sense of professionalism and community keeps him actively involved in many associations. Alan serves as an officer and director of the Long Island Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, a national organization of planning and investment professionals. He is currently President of Temple Chaverim in Plainview, Long Island and has served as the chair of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce Town Finance Committee. Alan is also a graduate of Leadership Huntington, a program that fosters leadership and trusteeship skills.

Alan resides with his wife Susan in Plainview, New York. Alan and Susan have been married 25 years and have two children, Robyn and Daniel.
