Conrad Gangone, Disability Insurance and Long Term Care Specialist at Forest Hills Financial Group, strongly believes the development of long term relationships with his clients is what’s most important, not just making a sale. The engineer in him likes solving problems and following up to make sure the solutions are correct. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Conrad’s background was in engineering and he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering with a Masters in Computer Science. He started his first business in 1988, which was an automatic vision inspection business and in 1993 he merged with a capital equipment business from Italy in the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry. He grew up in research and development and brought many new products to market in the PCB industry. He owned a technology business and managed sales people, engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. Conrad was very well known in the international PCB market and dealt with the owners and management of small, medium and large businesses on technical, operational and general business levels.

Life has a way of changing ones destiny, and several factors came into play that brought Conrad to the financial services industry. Conrad survived what had been diagnosed as terminal cancer at age 43 and after 9/11 wanted to limit the need to travel for business and be closer to his family. He knew he wanted to do something that contributed to society while enabling him to use his talents of problem solving and working with people, and financial services proved to be a perfect fit. Conrad’s keen business sense and diverse expertise combined with access to the broad spectrum of financial knowledge and resources available at FHFG allows him to ensure that his clients receive the sound, expert guidance they need to meet their unique needs.

Conrad is a member of the Association of Facility Engineers (AFE), and The American Legion. He owns a home in Smithtown, New York where he resides with his wife of 31 years, Joyce, and their 24 year old son Conrad.
