Andie Perlmutter is (COO) and Managing Partner at Forest Hills Financial Group (FHFG). As the company’s COO, Andie is responsible for coordinating the support of the firm’s one hundred financial advisors as well as servicing over 40,000 clients and policyholders on Long Island and the surrounding metropolitan areas. A third-generation financial services professional, Andie is also the firm’s Disability Income Specialist. She is proactive in teaching the importance of disability insurance as the foundation to financial security and as a valuable contribution to our community’s well-being. She collaborates one-on-one with the firm’s team of advisors while overseeing operations, administration, and employee relations at the firm’s two locations in Melville and NYC, and a remote administrative team. Andie has always had a genuine interest in helping people and supports the firm’s involvement in numerous philanthropic events throughout the year.
Andie graduated from Boston University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She taught both second and third grades in Boston while getting her degree and returned to New York to join the family business in 1999. Andie's Dad, Nathan M. Perlmutter, President and CEO of Forest Hills Financial Group, founded the agency in 1980 as a General Agent of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. FHFG is one of the leading agencies representing Guardian today. Andie’s brother David, a General Agent and Managing Partner working primarily out of the Melville office completes the Perlmutter team at FHFG, along with Managing Partner Amy Salo. Andie and Amy support the women advisors at the firm and are passionate about growing their team of women in both advisor and leadership roles.
Andie is actively involved with the New York City Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NYCAIFA), FINSECA, The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and Women in Financial Services (WIFS). Andie is a health enthusiast and enjoys being outside walking and exploring all NYC has to offer. Her interests are diverse, and she also likes to knit and cook.
Andie’s hometown is Merrick, Long Island, and she now resides with her husband Danny and daughters Joey and Ray in New York City.
