Bangrui Lee

Bangrui Li (Benjamin) is a Financial Representative with Forest Hills Financial Group (FHFG) with over 34 years of experience in the United States in the financial and insurance industry. With his knowledge, experience and proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Benjamin is committed to providing financial guidance to the Chinese American community. He helps his clients meet their financial goals and objectives with retirement planning, estate planning, and financial products such as life insurance, annuities, and long-term care. 

Benjamin was born and raised in China and received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Jinan University, Guangzhou, China in 1982. When Benjamin moved to the United States he earned his MBA from Pace University, NY in 1990 and began his professional career as an agent with MassMutual Life Insurance Company. Benjamin gained industry knowledge there before becoming an Assistant Manager for Citibank in 1994. In 1997, Benjamin joined New York Life and after several years was promoted to Corporate Vice President and Chinese Market Manager in charge of marketing, training, and recruiting in Chinese Communities across the country. After 17 years with New York Life, in 2014 Benjamin became an Independent Insurance Broker, and now brings his knowledge, experience, and passion for helping people to FHFG.

Benjamin’s keen sense of industry and community keeps him actively involve as the former President and current Director and Treasurer of the Chinese American Insurance Association (CAIA). In his spare time Benjamin enjoys community parties, sports, and travel. Benjamin currently resides in Bayside, NY with his wife Ying Chan and they have one adult son, Howell Li.
