Harsha Premaratne is a Financial Representative working out of the Melville office of Forest Hills Financial Group (FHFG). He works with business owners, families and individuals taking each client’s personal financial landscape into consideration. Harsha helps his clients protect what they have today as they grow their wealth and prepare for tomorrow. He has a genuine desire to steer people on a path to long term financial success by designing customized plans unique to each client’s individual situation.
Harsha graduated from St. John’s College in Sri Lanka with a degree in Commerce in 1998, and he earned his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 2006 from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, also in Sri Lanka. He began his professional career as a merchandiser in the apparel industry, which gave him management, sales and service experience within the business community. When he accidentally (or coincidentally) attended a presentation on a financial planning opportunity, it motivated him to obtain his insurance license and his career path was chosen. He gained industry experience first with National Income life Insurance, and then with New York Life. He now brings his business experience and industry knowledge to FHFG.
Harsha’s strong sense of industry keeps him actively involved as a member of The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of Sri Lanka. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching cricket and likes to travel. Harsha was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka and now resides with his wife, Dilhani, in Amityville.
