Isa Abdur-Rahman

Isa Abdur-Rahman is a Financial Representative with Forest Hills Financial Group (FHFG), dedicated to educating and guiding his clients so they can thrive and live fuller lives. With a background in coaching and nonprofit leadership, Isa has built his career on helping individuals and teams define their goals, overcome challenges, and take confident steps toward their potential. These experiences honed his skills in clear communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building. In insurance advising, Isa brings the same care and intentionality, taking the time to understand each client’s vision before offering process-oriented strategies that protect what they’ve built, prepare for what’s next, and navigate life’s transitions with confidence.
A graduate of Tabor Academy in Marion, MA, Isa was a National Merit Scholar and a multi-sport varsity letter winner in track, lacrosse, wrestling, football, and more. He earned a degree in Economics from Brown University, where he was a four-year letter winner on the men’s crew team, served as an economics tutor, and contributed to a publication on Roman roads in the Classics department.

Isa’s professional journey has been rooted in nonprofit leadership and athletics, with a focus on making rowing accessible to diverse communities. He currently serves as the head coach of a New York-based organization supporting young women and veterans in rowing. Previously, he was Director of a nonprofit in Port Washington, overseeing program growth and elevating the national profile of the team. Now at Forest Hills Financial Group, Isa helps his clients feel confident about their financial future and the future of those they care about.Outside of work, Isa enjoys rowing, skating and hockey, following the Rangers, football, horse racing, boating, college sports,and golf. Born and and raised in NYC, Isa currently resides in Port Washington with his wife, Alison.
